UNSPSC Mapping Tool

How to Use This Tool

1. Setup: Enter your company details (Legal Entity, Supplier, and Asset) below. These will be used as defaults if not provided in your data file.
2. Upload Data: Drag and drop your accounting data file (.csv or .xlsx) containing: Legal Entity, Supplier, Date, Value, Unit, Product Label, Classification, Asset, and Reference. The tool will automatically group categories and suggest UNSPSC codes.
3. Map Categories: Review the mapping progress indicator and map each accounting category to the appropriate UNSPSC code. Use the searchable dropdown to find codes, or click the suggested code button for auto-suggested mappings. The tool will automatically focus on the next unmapped category after each mapping.
4. Confirm Mapping: Once all categories are mapped, click "Confirm Mapping" to export your data. Emissions will be calculated externally using activity-based factors.
5. Export: Use "Download Excel" to save the results for import into the Klappir platform.
6. Import to Klappir: The exported file contains data in the following format: Legal Entity, Supplier, Date, Value, Unit (kg), Product Label, Classification (UNSPSC code), Asset, and Reference. Import this file into the Klappir platform where activity-based data is accepted.
7. Remap if Needed: You can change the UNSPSC code for any mapped category by clicking on it and selecting a different code.

Note: This calculator is for activity-based data (kg inputs only). Emissions will be calculated externally using activity-based factors, which can be at either the family (4 digits) or class (6 digits) level. Categories are automatically grouped by accounting category name for easier mapping.

Supported Format: The tool accepts and exports data with the following columns: Legal Entity, Supplier, Date (YYYY-MM-DD), Value (numeric), Unit (must be "kg"), Product Label, Classification (8-digit UNSPSC code), Asset, and Reference.
